This Fall/Winter, brace yourself for a whole new ”outer-space” twist to fashion wear as TOD’s celebrates the 40th anniversary of humankind’s first landing on the moon. Revolving around the “Space Age” concept, this series strives to shift our focus onto that monumental event that took place four decades ago and the imagery of human’s borderless potential to travel far beyond into outer space, that ensued.

Clearly inspired by the groundbreaking space gears from the R&D labs of NASA (and perhaps from its once arch-rival the Russian space agency), the instantly recognisable style is inspired mostly by the designs on vintage spacesuits. The colour palette is rich in “cosmic” deep shades of blue, green and red/orange, adding a touch of retro-sophistication.

The collection also boasts a prominent outerwear element: indigo shearling anoraks with fox trim, pea coats with leather patching and hooded trench coats with zipper details. The shoes, with their platforms and rubber details, echo the look of retro space suits.
