Tower, Tower Looming Tall
If you have a phobia of heights, it is not advisable for you to go up to the last storey of this building. Not even halfway for sure. Boasting a height of over 800 metres (2,625 feet) and more than 160 storeys, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. Located in Dubai, it currently holds three records – having the most storeys in a building, highest outdoor observation deck in the world, and highest occupied floor in the world. It has also broken two other astounding records: tallest structure, which was previously held by the KVLY-TV mast in Blanchard, North Dakota, and also the tallest free-standing structure, previously held by Toronto’s CN Tower.
Imagine running around the average track in the stadium for more than two rounds (each round of 400 metres), that is the vertical distance you need to cover to reach the peak of the tower, except you don’t really have to pant to conquer the height. The elevators will bring you there. So relax.
If you like sight-seeing, you would need to travel to the 124th storey for the observation deck. Fine dining with a rush of adrenaline to the head? Please proceed to level 122. We hope you bring a book along to read on your way up in the elevator.
Moreover, this idiosyncratic tower encompasses residential and office suites, hotel rooms, a park, and a recreation complex. Have your eyes started gleaming yet?

To make matters(proximities) worse(higher), Nakheel, a real estate developer in Dubai has announced plans to build an even TALLER building. At a height of over 1000 metres (about 3280 feet), it will include 250,000m square of hotels and hospitality space.

Now, if you haven’t already done it, here’s the perfect destination to scream “I’m the King of the World!”
Yes, we hear you, Mr. Ego.
