Dating for Mac Heads Only

Call it discrimination or whatever, some guys in California has set up a dating website dedicated to Mac users only. Called Cupidtino, an homage to Apple’s home base in Cupertino, the site aims to connect Apple aficionados with like-minded “Machearts”, according to The Associated Press.

The idea is that if you love the iPhone and Mac products you might be best suited to date a fellow Apple fan. Perhaps there is some truth there; since its launch in mid-June, the site now has about 20,000 Apple fanboys and fangirls (all signed up using a Mac), and still growing at about 1,000 new users per day, according to its FAQ.

Cupidtino is the brainchild of Mel Sampat, a former Microsoft employee. He came up with the idea during an argument with his girlfriend over whether he should use his iPad during dinner. Sampat told her that if they ever broke up he would date someone who likes Apple products. That got him thinking about creating a site to help connect those who do.

So, there you have it, Mac fans. Registration is free. It’s a totally dedicated dating site exclusively for Mac heads. PC and/or Linux users, go somewhere else.
