Green vessel to save the world from pollution

Real-life planeteers, Vincent Callebaut Architects, have banded together to launch a project to solve one major global issue – that being: one billion people don’t have access to drinking water.
Like a modern day bubble vessel, this sci-fi looking structure seems to sprout more greens than those cute little pots of planters, making it the biggest ever Chia Pet we’ve seen to date. A half-aquatic, half-terrestrial architectural prototype, this huge submersible water “refinery” may be the answer to the world’s fresh water shortage.
Actually meant to be a floating garden, the “Physalia” is completely self-sufficient in energy and it is said that the prototype will even generate more energy than it will consume. Solar cells and a double pneumatic membrane will form the roof of the hull to harness solar power, while the enclosed chambers will rely on the sun to help plants grow. Inside, there will be four amazing gardens called “Water”, “Earth”, “Fire” and “Air”. Once built, the giant Eco gadget will cruise – or rather, float – up and down the European waterways of Seine, Thames, Volga, Danube, and Escaut, gobbling up pollutants along the way to leave behind clean water trails. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it?
Now, where can we find Captain Planet to set sail the Physalia?
