Love, intertwined.
Valentine’s Day has long gone this year but we can’t help but feel passionate about featuring this amazing design. Victor Aleman created this lovey-dovey-looking chair, dubbed Mua. From whichever angle you look at it, there is “weightless” feel to the spiral design. Oh well, don’t we always feel that we are swept off our feet when we’re deeply in love? Intertwined in a way that symbolises how a pair of lovers are locked in each other’s arms, Mua is also meant for an amorous affair that is locked away in the couple’s own world of fiery passion.
As intended by the designer, the design is intricate yet complex. Just like how love is emotion beyond definition, to many people, this design amplifies that notion. With an exterior made of steel and red cushion for the inside, it signifies how strong the love between two can be, standing up to the test of time. In this picture, we see Mua dangling from a tree, suspended for all voyeurs to see. From far, it looks like a giant heart-shaped pendant with a necklace, doesn’t it? How apt.

When love is for us two,
Our hearts will flutter too.
Let your desires be looked into,
Let no secrets lie ’tween me and you.
An embrace is for eternity,
For love that means purity.
A kiss brings unity,
Feelings above clarity.
Cuddling together,
Arms around each other.
What more could matter,
If you are my lover?
When love is for two,
Its definition is easy too.
For feeling is hard to fool,
In a world where passion rules.
